Fertility Scope™ Instructions

Baby 2 Before using your Fertility Scope™ ovulation test kit please read the instruction leaflet provided with this device in its entirety. It is important that you know what Fertility Scope™ can and cannot do for you and how to care for your ovulation microscope. If you follow the instructions carefully, consistent usage and accurate fertility record keeping will yield the best results for you.

Fertility Scope™ will be most effective as an ovulation predictor if used in conjunction with your healthcare practitioner, doctor or fertility counselor. Welcome to a new generation of aids for family planning.

How to Use Fertility Scope™

Note: It is necessary that you test first thing in the morning before rinsing your mouth with water or brushing your teeth and never after eating, drinking or smoking. These activities will interfere with a true reading of your saliva hormonal level and will compromise the accuracy of the results.

Always clean the lens first before placing a small drop of saliva from under your tongue on the optical lens surface. Make sure your specimen is free of air bubbles. Leave it to dry for seven to ten minutes. Once dried, a test pattern will become visible and you may observe the results.

Remove the silver cover of the Fertility Scope™.

Carefully remove the optical lens by pulling it away from the inner casing. Place a drop of saliva from your tongue on the flat slide end of the lens assembly (be sure there are no air bubbles and the sample is smooth). Allow it to dry for seven to ten minutes before placing the optical cap back on to the inner casing.

Push the light button on the side of the device to illuminate the image and look through the lens allowing you to observe your test result. The Fertility Scope™ has auto-focus technology; no focusing is necessary. For best results remember to remove eyeglasses before viewing. Study our “fern” diagrams closely before attempting to evaluate your results.

Always clean the optical lens after every use. You can use a clean lens tissue or lens cleaner --- either will suffice. DO NOT submerge in water. Place the silver cover back on the Fertility Scope™ when finished and return it to its protective pouch

Additional information on the Care and Use of your Fertility Scope™

For accurate readings always be sure your saliva sample is completely DRY before you read your result. We recommend you use your Fertility Scope™ every day for two months to fully understand your saliva analysis and results. It will help chart your fertility cycle.

Medication, smoking, infection or acute inflammation of the throat or mouth, alcohol, food residue and rinsing your mouth before testing can adversely affect the accuracy of the reading.

Remember: your Fertility Scope™ is a personal possession and should be kept in a safe place. For personal hygiene reasons you should not share this device with others who may wish to use it. Do not leave your Fertility Scope™ exposed to extreme heat or cold conditions.

Thoroughly clean your Fertility Scope™ before and after each usage but NEVER immerse it in any liquids, including hot or cold water.

Always treat your Fertility Scope™ test kit with care. Try never to drop it because this could damage the optical lens.
